Try buying a 300W high CRI color accurate COB LED, and a driver for that and see how much it costs. Probably $200+ retail price just for the LED and driver. Then you need the cooling, casing, controls, etc..

This is a 300w led, not a 300ws strobe. Very different things.

You clearly don't know anything you are talking about here. Godox IS the cheap brand, try looking around at other photography lighting and seeing the difference. Just because there will always be someone cheaper, doesn't mean they are better/more reliable/safer/color accurate.
Also, Flashpoint being Adorama's brand name means they actually cover it under warranty, vs Godox offering no actual warranty (good luck ever getting anyone in China to reply to you!)
The Godox brand is meant to manufacture equipment, and it's more like the auto industry - the dealer is the one who provides the warranty and service, not the equipment manufacturer.
But hey, what would I know, as a busy and respected professional in the industry that actually USES the equipment. 🤷🏼 ♂️

Its amazing how gullible we are as consumers....Its an LED light, cheapest thing to make. Its 300watts, yet its $419! LOL. This thing should be $80...When OGodx first came out, they had the 600strobes with TTL for $329. Then Adorama came along and raised it to $849 under the Flashpoint name, and thats when consumers lost. Tech changed and became super cheap, easy to make....but in support of the market and control of it, prices went way up.

$300+ profit margin and YOU know it. Why, I bet you could BUY those $80 lights you speak of, dress them up all pretty like, and resell them for $300+. You should give it a try. Consumers are so gullible, right? I mean, consumers see the Godox name and are instantly bedazzled into throwing their money at their nonsensically popular, over-priced products.
Oh, better yet, just start a store and Jack up prices from $300+ to $800+. No other retailer can compete!

I always had my eye on Eistein E640 strobe for same price and perfect for action photography if needed... One of the few that can do.. Flash Duration (t.1) - in Action Mode1/588 sec. (at full power) | 1/13,500 sec. (at 1/256 power)

I would get into strobe photography over this for headshots. I've been waiting for one of the flashpoints with ttl to go on sale for this reason
