Apparently, the software has gotten much better. They actually pulled these models completely for a few weeks late last year while TCL/Google worked out many of the bugs.

Of course, you can just always plug in a Roku or something and use that exclusively. I actually prefer the Google interface. Much more modern and relevant.

I called the store closest to me (65 miles away) and stated I couldn't pick it up for 10 days and they stated their policy was that they can only hold for 5 days. So, they agreed to waive the $110.00 delivery fee.
Give it a try

I was very hesitant about purchasing this because of all the bad reviews however I figured at this price I could just let it set for 2-3 months until Google updates the firmware with the needed fixes.

Two available locally for me but I'm on the fence due to the Android/Google interface.

What's the point of having this on a "Deal of the Day" when you drop the price literally the next day... At least you should be able to request a price adjustment.

Between their unpredictable price fluctuations, inflated MSRPs, and getting rid of their "Elite" and "Elite Plus" membership tiers in an attempt to steer people towards their $200/year "TotalTech" subscription, I think I'm finally ready to give up on Best Buy altogether.

It seems like they're heading towards the great big box retailer graveyard. Circuit City should have been a wake-up call for them, but clearly they haven't learned a thing.

Lower stock right now, likely due to the fact that it was a DotD yesterday...for $40 more. Really hope that they would automatically credit anyone who bought it then, but it's highly unlikely.

Lowest I've seen for the 65" was $899 around BF. Although, you can occasionally find deals on open box units for $799 in "Excellent" condition.

Definitely a great deal, especially for a QLED 4K TV with local dimming zones, VRR, both HDR formats, and 2 HDMI 2.1 ports. Even better if you can score an open box model.

I was looking at the 75" models for a long time, as others have said the software is supposedly ok now... but if you buy now I'd run it hard within the full return period and make sure you are OK with the software if the built-in smart stuff is critical to you.

These are being clearanced out and I would not rely on any big software updates at this point.

Outside of the software concerns I do think they're great sets for the money. PQ is about as good as it makes sense to pay for to me before you jump to oled. Nice open box deal would be hot.

Well I decided to grab one. If I'm not satisfied I'm going to hold you personally accountable. ☺
