If you are worrying about a few hundred dollars for a video game system then you might want to seriously prioritize your money , budget and stop hanging out on these forums where regardless of the "deal" you are spending money you likely should be saving.

I'm not trying to be mean but you either have the money or you don't. There is no gray area. If you are sacrificing or struggling to spend a few hundred bucks, then find a different hobby that's cheaper and work on having savings so you are not paycheck to paycheck

I don't understand the argument. Why not just own both? I use my PS5 for exclusive titles and games that can take advantage of the adaptive trigger, and my Series X for exclusive titles and co-op games. Xbox in the living room, PS5 in the game room. No conflicts

I'm a huge PS fan (PS2/3/4/5) but I have to admit if you're picking ONE, Xbox Series X might be the way to go. I have both and all the little QoL features, Quick resume, xCloud, Game Pass, etc etc. all make it the more practical choice...even though my heart loves the PS5.

Of course none of this matters if you're after Sony exclusives. Or really want Dualsense which I'm sure will be more used in coming years

I posted earlier in this thread that I had the offer and it worked, so yes, it should work. I would be more concerned about it shipping by May 31, not arriving by May 31, for the credit to post.

I ordered mine April 28.
It shipped April 29.
It arrived May 3.

Amex charge posted April 28.
Amex $75 credit posted April 30.

Keep in mind that there was no email confirming I'd used the offer, as is the case with some of their offers. Hope that helps.

Not completely true. As long as the console is set as your "home" console, you do not need a Xbox Live connection or internet to play digital games you own on your console. As for subscription based games (Game Pass, EA+), you may need an active internet connection to play these games, because the console needs to verify your subscription to be current, in order to play the games.
