I can't get the 20% to work on this...
10% off at sports basement which is nice...
None of these at any price actually do anything to protect you from bad drivers that will wander across lanes and into your ass no matter how much gear you have. (E.g.looking at phones, drunk and drugged driving..)
And in places like Los Angeles where some deliberately go after bicyclists and motorcyclists, mostly useless. You'd be safer breaking the law and riding on the sidewalks.
In fact, imo, you'd be better off spending money on motorcycle protective gear (E.g. https://www.mcgearhub.c
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=v79tKQb
After all, a 4000+ lbs will crush the human just the same on bicycle or motorcycle, so why aren't bicyclists riding with motorcycle level protective gear if they're worried about cars hitting them?
Dozens of white bicycle memorials street side near me over the years = car vs bicycle without protective gear isn't survivable.
..
For country roads, you'll want bright head lights, med + patch kit + helmet because those potholes and such pop up unexpectedly and can throw you. And drivers aren't after you like in LA.
Well no motorcycle protective gear will protect you from someone driving a 4000+ lb vehicle with those driving habits either.
Im guessing you don't ride on the road much or you would understand why cyclists don't wear motorcycle gear when riding.
Often the reason riders lose theirs lives in accidents is because they don't wear the most important protective gear, a HELMET.

1) Personally flipped over bars during mountainbike race. Top of head planted itself firmly on a 2in diameter tree stump punching a nice hole into the first 1in of the helmet.
2) Customer traded in a crashed helmet to receive a new one in trade. Bell had a promotion to do this. The customer had been run off the road leading to compacted vertebrae, concussion, and other assorted injuries that kept him in hospital for months.
3) Rode with a group of friends who slid off road at 30mph on an unexpected 90 degree bend in road full of gravel. The helmet absorbed the impact. He had a concussion. Still doesn't remember the ride to this day.
4) Mom comes into bike shop. Notes helmets don't work because her son was killed by a car that hit him on his bicycle at 35mph. Sad story but there's only so much a helmet can do.

That shifted in recent decades to dangerous - pretty much every friend on a bicycle or motorcycle has been hit or had a close call.
And at the ER of the hospital center I worked at, expected that you'll be visiting the ER someday riding - just like one doctor who rode motorcycles.
"Brain cases" - biggest killer. Motorcycle helmet or tiny bicycle helmet helps. But don't go thinking a bicycle helmet is anywhere as good as a motorcycle help with vehicular crashes. (Just jump on them, or sledgehammer - both far less impact than a 4000lbs SUV.)
Spinal next. Usually snaps at the neck level, or below at the bumper strike zone. Motorcycle rider airbag and neck brace helps.
Then the usual blunt force trauma - An elephant of today's too-big suv's and trucks sitting on your belly. Often, double the weight of yesteryear's sedans. (I'll let the physics majors calculate what doubling the weight does to momentum and energy transfer..)
..
Nowadays, I just stick to local residental streets, sidewalks whenever possible, and never during rush hour.

How to get the 10% ?
It's simply untrue to state that "half the time driver isn't faulted for hitting cyclist." Also, most of you Spandex warriors don't value your life because you ride on terrible roads during rush hour and of course you don't move over and share the road. Most of you also do you stop at stop signs or red lights.
Local laws vary, but if we have a right to take the lane we don't have to move over for a car. If I feel I need the whole lane I take it. And you can pass when safe. There are several cases where a car and bike accident is just declared an accident, even if the cyclist dies. It's not running reds that these events happen.
Right. It's never the fault of a cyclist. LOL There's a difference between a bicyclist and a Spandex Warrior cyclist. You are the latter.

You could say it's a sign people don't value life period.
How important is it to be looking at your phone or drink while driving!
We have to create laws, even then drivers don't follow the rules!
Here is Az a cyclist legally has the right to the whole lane he is occupying.
By all means please tell us why you don't pass a cyclist like you would a motorcycle or even a regular vehicle?
We can't do anything about idiot drivers but that's why these devices are invented, to help with that as much as possible.
Far more people die in car accidents, don't see people saying you must not value your life!

The law says you can have the entire lane, but do you really need it? I'm not saying you don't have the right to it, but you are riding a 20 pound bicycle at 15 MPH while you are surrounded by 3,000+ pound vehicles that are going much faster. If you want to take up the entire lane and hold up some road rager on his way to a miserable home from a job that he hates then you are putting your life on the line. People aren't stable. Would you want to take that risk and gamble with your life? I sure wouldn't. If I was a bicyclist I'd do everything in my power to be considerate and not trigger others. Should you have to do that? I guess that's up for debate, but you have to remember you live in an angry, impulsive and irrational world.
Also, I'm not sure why I even have to explain this, but you can't safely pass bicycles on winding back roads with blind corner after blind corner. This should be pretty obvious. Should be. Also, how often are you in a car behind a motorcycle that is holding you up? I can't say that I've ever had to pass a motorcycle while in a car.
There are lots of idiotic car drivers, bicyclists, cyclists, etc. No one group is devoid of idiots.
Cars are a modern necessity. And the survival rate of car accidents is much greater than the survival of bicyclists who have been hit by cars. Again, this should be pretty obvious.
