Their own support page does not mention access to paid channels either:
What can I watch on The Roku Channel on my Amazon Fire TV device?
With The Roku Channel on Fire TV, you'll have easy access to:
Thousands of free, ad-supported movies and TV episodes
Access to more than 115 live/linear channels
Kids & Family entertainment offering thousands of TV episodes and movies
I just noticed the same thing. The Roku channel app on my Firestick gives me an error message when I try to access this special offer.
I agree but personally jump on a lot of these cheap video and music streaming deals all the time. I have made it a point to ALWAYS add an entry to my main work calendar (which I live by every day) and haven't missed a cancellation in years. I also find 1-2 months on any particular service once or twice a year actually works out better given the limited content for each service. New season of a show I like comes out? Put it on the list, keep an eye out for deals on SD and I eventually get something and bing it for a few weeks.
You are right - they are counting on you to forget.
Once you subscribe, you can stream all the premium content directly from The Roku Channel, which is available on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, iOS, Android, and your browser. https://thestreamable.com/news/de...s-and-more [thestreamable.com]
