But if you need to use frequently on a newish model phone, a USB-C output version is definitely nicer. Although if you have an iPhone and use the wall charger they (used to) include with iPhones - this still charges faster than those. (But for something like an iPad Pro, it'll work but not nearly as well as the USB-C versions. I can't speak as much to other iPad models or every other device, but any low powered gadget will not really matter - although I have used older versions of these years ago (pre-USB-C days) for a standard iPad a couple times and it worked fine.)
So basically: if you want a backup battery charger but know *you won't use it frequently*, this is great price for a backup. But if you know you'll use it often, spend a bit more for.USB-C output (And always look at the output port power specs - this goes for normal wall chargers too. And if you aren't sure how much difference it'll make for different devices you have, ask about the specific use cases, because it'll vary.)
Personally i find them adequate for iPhone 13 PRO - however I don't need it much, only for occasional traveling and misc use cases, since I have USB-C car chargers and such, and enough USB-C wall chargers I can keep them anywhere in frequently spending time. (So for me they are just for occasional backup uses, and used for various devices, not just my main phone.)
Also: Anker has 2 eBay stores. One has refurbished products - which in my experience are often either new (But damaged packaging) or just open box (I've never had anything wrong with the refurb stuff I've gotten, that includes several batteries like this, & some of the Fusion wall charger/battery combos I got for $20 each, and other stuff.) It's harder to find the USB-C output versions in the refurb store still, however the prices are usually pretty slick for refurbs, taking into account a small risk an actual flawed item making it past testing - but I've always gotten either new (But damaged boxes) or open box but clearly returned items this way. And always for this type of discounted price across many products. I've used Anker for years and have only had one failure on a wall charger back when they first introduced the first models of the 5-port USB-A chargers , which they replaced after asking that I go thriving through basic troubleshooting (via email, and nothing unreasonable to try before approving the replacement - unlike my experience with things like Google product support)
I think "Anker Direct" is their eBay store for new itema, and their refurb store is something like "anker outlet store" - I've picked up some nice deals from the outlet store over the past few years and all have worked great (And still work great) regardless of wbat the packaging looked like - as most seem like they are just from returns by people that order the wrong stuff and not actually failed devices. (Across various product lines.)

This battery was originally made for the transition time between microUSB and USB-C, for people that still had both laying around.
I still wouldnt buy this model (Id buy an 18w PD model at minimum), but the microUSB can easily be ignored.
