The 5000 mAh version is a popular deal at $9.99 and charges with micro USB. This charges with USB-C, why the thumbs down?

Very old charger that I've had for years. USB C port can't charge your phone which sucks. Devices that can't be charged with USB C should be $10 today.

I didn't say it does, I said it charges with USB-C meaning the battery itself.

Agreed that USB-C should be the standard but when the 5000 mAh version non USB-C is $10 and is popular on slickdeals and this is a 10000 mAh that at least charges itself with USB-C is $15, seems decent.

Right, the reality of it is that it isn't standard, I'd rather pay a bit more for usb c charging capability to charge a phone since this is an old charger. just my opinion, others can do as they please.

Because people are mad that the product doesn't have features that it never claimed to have.

Reality is there are certain products that pop up here on deal, time and time again, that automatically get down voted because people don't like the product. Water wipes, this charger... And the comments are always the same. Whiners are weiners.

Good deal but i already have 2. Usb c not necessary... I have a small micro usb to charge these. For the price it is perfect

I have a 20K PD model that I use for my phone/camera, which is what most people would want.
However, I do keep one of these around for camping, as almost all of my lights are micro USB, so I keep a type A to micro cable in the pouch and use it exclusively for that. Charge it up at home with all my type C gear.

there are usb c to usb a adapters for a few dollars each so that usb c cables can plug into the usb a port on these less expensive battery packs so they can be used for many years to come. The usb c specific chargers seem to be much more expensive
