Anyone considering an LG fridge should read this carefully.

If you still want to buy an LG, be prepared to replace it within a few years.

Irrelevant to this deal - I got one of those 4-door fridges (french doors top and bottom) a couple of years ago and I can't go back.

I'm terribly unorganized and these bottom freezer drawers end up hiding a bunch of frozen foods that I forget about because it's hard to access them.

If anyone else has this problem, I highly recommend trying out the 4-door fridges (mine is Samsung).

Tech came out to fix the no cool issue this morning.

The repair was relatively quick, less than 90 minutes. Three parts got replaced, the condenser, compressor, and filter/drier. Board got a software update too.

He didn't braze the fittings, rather using something called LOKRING to secure. Time will tell how well it works and if it lasts more than 90 days.

The tech seemed confident the bugs were worked out by now. Perhaps the repairs last beyond the 90 days they're warrantied for. Time will tell. If it lasts another 5 years then I'll consider lg in the future (total of 10 years life time). At this time, I just don't have confidence in the brand.

I'm on my second Samsung. The first was junk and so is this one. Samsung ice makers are the worst. I'll never buy another Samsung again.

I bought this fridge for this exact price exactly 1 year ago, so it seems to be an annual event. This fridge is generally in the $3k range at your home depot's and what not. I love the fridge, beside a terrible Costco delivery experience and a broken ice machine experience early on that was repaired under warranty, it's been a great looking fridge that's fairly quiet and works well. Would definitely recommend it at this price point, especially with how much inflation has affected the price of everything in the last year.

I bought this refrigerator and it broke in three months. It was under warranty, but LG couldn't find anyone that would work on it.

Bought this, same price, a couple of months ago and great so far at this price point. But then again, I don't make use of or care for the wifi or even the touch screen. I just hope it does the basics and doesn't break down.

my Maytag fridge from 2000 still running like a champ. it leaks water from time to time, but its working. I just place towel next the wet spot in my garage. Not a big deal.

I used to trust LG and have almost everything made by LG at home. My refrigerator recently went bad, LG technician came and diagnosed that Compressor was bad which is under warranty but leaking from compressor also made other parts useless and he said it's irreparable and left the system as is after cutting the evaporator filters from closed system having the oil leaking on my kitchen floor. Customer service is so painful as you have to bump in with couple of customer execs before finding someone to talk to and zero support for the ongoing open issue. Not sending any technician to close the system, no repairs or part replacements or discounts on new refrigerator is offered and left me in a limbo! Every other technician I approached said they don't want to touch LG refrigerator because of their shitty compressors they don't want to be hold liable. Also, there is a class action lawsuit against LG for the compressor failures in place. Now, finding a lawyer to sue them. Don't buy LG!
