Great deal. I paid like $1200 when this thing first came out. Use it every day. It's probably the best cheap 65" you can get.

I have this TV. The picture is great. The Google voice features worked perfect when I first got it but an update kind of broke it. You can do voice searches but asking it to turn on and off or change the volume doesn't work anymore. I got it on sale at PC Richard last year

Just bought the 65" u7g for $700. FYI wire cutter, digital trends and several other sites recommend the u7g effectively OVER the u8g because the u8g is let down by its software and higher brightness (crushing blacks && more blooming issues). Feel free to heck out FOMO or QuantumTV YouTube channels for breakdowns on what I'm talking about or the afore mentioned sites.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

i have the 55 incher. i appear to be in the minority, but i hate it. there is always something weird going on....stutter, audio dropouts, random reboots, etc. they will release firmware that fixes one thing and breaks another. the u8g looks really good when everything is working right, but i prefer my tcl 6 series. it also looks great with no issues.

How's long term reliability of Hisense vs Sony, LG, Samsung? Is it better to spend more for other brands?

Picture quality on this tv is great but I had to return it because of motion issues. If you're sensitive to frames being dropped, this is not the tv for you.

I will say when I look at reviews on Amazon of both of u 7g and u 8G the general trend of any negative reviews seem related to Quality Control

Damn I keep wanting to buy this but every thread on this or the 55" keeps talking about software issues.

I watch movies and play the game(occasionally) and don't have time to be troubleshooting

I have the 55 and have had it since February, great TV. I fixed the slight humming issue coming from the HDMI ports by changing around some settings after troubleshooting and been great since.
