I started playing this game from ME1 having never played this series. I have always heard about this and never took the second look this game deserved and I am sorely regretting it. If you can get past the dated gameplay and rigid controls ME1 still stands on its own as a solid masterpiece. The lore in this game is incredible and it's honestly like reading a really good book. This is only the third time in my life I read absolutely everything a game had in text format. That being said whatever they did to the graphics in the remaster is nice and even though it came out in 2007 it still looks really good outside of the level design and older textures.
ME2 is like playing a passion project from ME1. The continuation of choices I made in the first one are showing heavily in the story and lore in the second one and it is honestly incredible even to today's standards. I am halfway through ME2 right now but honestly besides the controls still being a bit stiff the graphics from the 3 year difference from ME1 show big time.
This series is well worth a first play or even a second play through if you enjoyed it in the past. Between the graphical and quality of life improvements and the DLC this would be worth the full price tag at $60 for me.
In conclusion I will be buying this even though I currently have it on game pass. Even if I never play it again the $20 is worth it just to support the developers. I say get it and don't even wait for a price drop especially if you don't have game pass 😀

I'm in the middle ME3 right now…not sure how far in until the end…but I think it's safe to say that it's the weakest of the 3. Amazing game still, but the first 2 are definitely masterpieces. In 2, there's a mission where you try to fight your way to a mysterious person introduced in ME1 outside of his ship and the view is just breathtaking. Don't want to spoil it in case you haven't done that mission yet, but you'll know it when you see it.
Thank you for not spoiling it, I am not quite there yet. A bit bummed that the 3rd won't be as good but I think if it is even half as good as the first two with better graphics and improved controls I am still going to be extremely happy.
I'm playing on PC with keyboard/mouse, and tbh, I'm not really a fan of some of the new control mechanics introduced in 3. It actually has gotten me killed several times already. I've managed, but do find it kind of annoying.

Oh man, I have heard mixed opinions on this. I am on xbox so will wait until I play it for the verdict. I would like if they got away from the heavy cover system a little bit even if the controls are different
Bestbuy.com where i got it.
Unfortunately it went even more heavy on the cover system.
This remaster of all three games do not include the MP portion (Mass Effect 3). They've adjusted the game so that you can get the best ending without the MP as in the original version of ME3, you pretty much had to play the MP to get the best ending.
