Found this 50% off at Walmart today. Bought it. Out the door $199 + tax.
I see it's been posted many times in the past, but as "available", not lately. And no need to rehash the TN screen business. I get it. Its okay. And for $199, if you web surf, check email, use productivity apps as I do, I don't think you will mind it. I was getting frustrated having to lay out $500+ for a simple laptop today. It's funny as I ordered an Acer Chromebook from Walmart online the other day just to see how it worked for me. Should come next week. It has 17 inch IPS 1920x1020 screen.($129) Go figure.
I find it rather quick. I am not a gamer, so can't say what will work and what wont.
Brickseek shows OOS for zip 12401 but they had 2 when I asked.

Just so I didn't just give my opinion, I chatted with HP just now and their response was...
"With this model, the screen is always TN and not IPS".
Could you please advise whether this has ability to do 4k@60Hz over HDMI? In other words, does it have HDMI 2.0?

My exact experience too. Bummer.
The second store was worse, since the employee simply replied "Naw man, we ain't got none" when I inquired. When I asked him if he could check their system, he repeated "naw man, we ain't got none." I actually went over to the cage myself and looked, but didn't see any in the minute or so I spent there.
I'm not the type of guy to stand there and demand to see a manager or cause a scene. Besides, it's likely that neither store had any, although the first store's employee came off as less than truthful.
Ultimately it's my fault for falling for these walmart-brickseek-ymmv wild goose chases. I had luck one time back in 2015 with a phone deal but ever since then it's been a total bust each and every time. Between brickseek's wildy inaccurate information and the unwillingness of walmart employees to provide any meaningful assistance (not to mention the few who stash items away and lie), I'm going to view these deals as a dead on arrival.

It's called TRICKseek for a reason. It generates foot traffic by tricking you to seek items.
