I bought this at $350 earlier this year and it's been mixed experience.
The installation was a total mess because they cancelled the initial install and to reschedule it took a lot of phone calls, my worry was that the new date would fall out of the return window.
After the installation, it worked well for a couple of months, I bought 5 year of Drone subscription for $180 which is great.
After that I started getting "tach sensing failure" when trying to remote start, essentially the car would crank but not start. I had some serious issues with the car not starting (both with key and Drone/remote) and also cutting off the engine while driving which is pretty dangerous, replacing battery didn't solve it. Now this could be other things like fuel pump/pressure, I took it to multiple mechanics and they couldn't fully figure it out (it's a reliable 2016 CRV) however it magically went away now for 2 months+ after I recalibrated the remote with my car, no more "tach sensing failure" and car not starting. My hypothesis is that the remote starter brain wasn't letting the car start and shutting it off because it lost connection to the keys and thought it was being stolen, other hypothesis is that my fuel pump/line was clogged and it just unclogged, I'm 50/50 on it since it never got fully root caused.
Overall: the product itself is great, being able to heat and cool the car in the Northeast is great, however you may have to deal with issues and know how to root cause it yourself, if you go to a local mechanic they'll just do random stuff or just recommend you to remove the remote starter. Also, BB gotta do better at scheduling.
If you get this I highly recommend Drone app, the $180 for 5 years for lowest tier is a great option.

Right. .I actually setup a rfid just inside my mirror on my car, and bought a 433mhz ring so I wave my hand close to my mirror after I walk up and my car unlocks and starts automatically.

Send me a PM and I will get you in touch with him for the info.
This is what he suggested.

This one u can pair the ring too, and just use the mcu box, and the pickup coils, and then you need a arduino 5v relayand hook it right to your remote start remote start external trigger wire.. as soon as that 1 wire senses a pulse it will start automatically.
======
You install a rfid unit or only the part you need and connect it to the remote start.

OEM remote start tends to be extremely reliable and hiccup free
Yes it will automatically apply if you added together
Not an issue just a feature that Toyotas with push start have, no way around it.
I bet your Tacoma has a push start button if so it's not an issue it's a "feature" that Toyotas have, no way around it.

Yup. One day sale. It comes back every few weeks/months though, around $280-$350.
Nobody does that. If you don't like it, you don't have to post on every post because it's against their policy. Many companies are like that.
Maybe it costs more for them to install it, maybe it's just not worth the trouble because they've had issues with their installers doing it, considering they have 1,000 stores in the US. Sometimes it's not just a piece of paper. Why don't you call their corporate office or local store and ask instead of getting upset on here?
