I've been using this monitor in my home office for about a year. It's been great. The only issue I have with it is that the height is not adjustable. This could be mitigated by wall mounting it, I suppose. Other than that it's been 100% issue free.

No it is not. This is you speaking from a place of ignorance.

A 34 wide-screen and 27 are the same height. The extra diaganol is gained on the x axis.

This monitor has major problems. Over displayport windows constantly rearrange themselves when the monitor goes to sleep. Over hdmi that problem is fixed, except over hdmi you get these weird screens of static that pop up only for a second. I bought two of these. Stay away from them like the plague.

so yeah, this is way more budget than the 399$ M34WQ.

sorry.
You were probably thinking of the M34WQC and M34WQC A that were $300 earlier this year.

The resolution is too low for such a big monitor. Granted, not as bad as some 30" or so with 1080 resolution. If this was a 27"-30", it would have been fantastic.
you're thinking QHD/WQHD, not UWQHD... 1440 vertical is perfect at this size and 3440 (UWQHD) gives you ~34% more horizontal space than a 2560 (QHD/WQHD).

That might be an issue with Windows, not the monitor; here's a possible fix in Windows:

But I still wouldn't recommend this monitor, for other reasons: Since it's wide but isn't curved, it's hard to read text near the edges (though, curved likely costs more). And switching the input source is annoying since you have to wait while it cycles through the ports. (I'm now using a Dell monitor that lets me switch the input source via software; I don't think this Samsung monitor has that.)

Your link is not to a fix. It's to the curved version of this monitor.

If you do have a link to a possible fix I would greatly appreciate it.

All these acronyms makes me feel like it's gonna be UWQCLSTRFCKHD in like 10 years and I'm gonna have even less idea of what that means than I have for UWQHD now

I think it's time I make that switch / upgrade. But want to wait for something better, even if it's a bit more $. My eyes + brain will thank me later Smilie

It is to a specific page of that thread, use your finger and eyes to scroll and look, very simple to find the two links.

Thank you govenar, I'm hoping those settings will help, have had this monitor for a few months and I love it except for Windows constantly doing this.

I'm sure VA panels have their place, but not on my desk. Gonna have to pass.
