14TB exos are $200. Yes, louder, but not creating warranty problems by shucking and maybe a bit better class of drive if you're using it for bulk storage in a server or NAS

Would an exo drive be good for an external backup drive? Or are there better options for that?

Exos isn't in an enclosure so unless you already have an enclosure or a dock you should get something like in the OP
