i actually think these are great dedicated tabs for streaming from sites while using a vpn... but only if firetoolbox can still be used on them. otherwise I would never buy these. I use the 10" every night to watch streaming stuff (:
if the 10" goes on sale again for $50.. I'd buy that.. but the 8" should be like $30 on sale, imo.

for $50 the 10" is amazing value, imo. the screen is actually good (again $50). They're great for dedicated bathroom tablets.. unless you're the type of person who uses their phone while in the bathroom.. then you probably don't care about personal hygiene so that doesn't rly matter.

The speakers on the old 2017 that I got on woot for $25 can't even overpower my shower, I found out. I had a 2021 that I got on a trade in deal but even for $75 with $25 bonus credit for my old fire 8, it wasn't worth it. Picked up a tab s6 site open box from best buy for $140. It's a little extra for the job but feels sturdy enough (moreso than the tab s6 it replaces that went towards my new z fold 4). It's right on the border of "too nice to sit in a bag in my shower" lol. Actually, it's way past it but I needed something with good speakers, decent screen and passable performance. Not sure there's much below $150 that ticks all those boxes.

100% how I feel about it. Got it for the same reason, still way too slow for any demanding tasks such as gaming. Heck, even some videos are choppy on it. Still use it but only for extremely light things or if I'm going somewhere where I am worried my good tablet will get broken or stolen but I want to catch up on some reading.

Can't you just get a decent bluetooth speaker for the audio?
