I'm on the same boat but waiting for 5700x to drop in price. I don't want to lose my PCIe 4.0 speeds with this one.

No, not really. Actually the 3700x with PCI Express 4 support and 16mb more L2 cache is the better choice.

Probably not. +2 cores to an already fast 6-core and +1 graphics CU (7 to 8). But it's your last chance APU on the AM4 socket so if you want to splurge and use it for 5+ years, go for it.

Good question. Also, does it come with any free games?

I'm interested around $150. Though if this hits $150 and the 5600G is $100, I'm probably choosing the 5600G.

I'm looking at building a htpc and want to go micro atx. I have a 6600xt that I was looking to use with a 5700x but I think it's overkill. I'm only going to use the htpc as a plex server and maybe run some emulators. Running this processor instead would save me alot of space and be quite a bit less in cooling and power draw. Would running just this proc alone be suitable for what I'm looking to do?
