you can remove the rubber and fit bigger phones or phone with a case
This doesn't always work better than having the rubber padding as some phones are slimmer than the groove, which makes it a bit wobbly and can potentially damage your USB c port.
Trash overpriced....much better and cheaper options out there . Had this thing when they first came out the left side stopped working after 3 months and I barely used it . Also the buttons are not great I'm still bothered I paid 90 bucks when it was new. I'd avoid
Wasn't getting much out of this and it was basically gathering dust. Until I got the Samsung fold. I cut the kishi to fit and with cloud gaming via game pass don't see the need for any other portable gaming device.
The direct USB connection is better than Bluetooth

I have the Android version. Everything is pretty good except passthrough charging doesn't work for 4 of phones, and moto g play works only if I unplug the phone from the device with the cable plugged in and plugged back in.
That's not a fault of the controller, but a feature that's not present in your phones. Not all phones support charging and data transfer simultaneously. Namely budget phones often don't support it. Honestly, I'm surprised it works at all with your Moto. As far as I was aware, none of Motos budget phones supported it, unless they added it in the last couple years. All Android flagships and iPhones support it, though.
I'd totally pick this up if you don't want a used one
The v2 is supposedly better, but about twice the cost
This one actually appeals to me more as the only time I use it is when traveling, and it packs up really small
I don't mind the buttons at all. I've been playing through Metroid prime with no issues; it's a joy
I'd suggest looking into a Bluetooth controller like the 8bitdo Pro and a clip for your phone over this. Apple could change their connector with any iteration and make this obsolete if you upgrade. Also, you'll get a much better controller to boot.
If you got an otterbox and value it staying in the box, don't get this. The only thing folks like us can use is the bluetooth version of the Gamesir X2, which isn't bad at all.
I was at Bb looking at these. Then remembered I have a ps5 controller and it syncs up to play apex and cod just fine which I'm already used to. I was shredding noobs. Know thyself, this would collect dust.
IDK what to tell you, I have the proper insert in and it fits perfectly with zero flex.
look at the back of the rubber. i have both an iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro. the rubber (A set and B set) flap conflicts with the camera bump. https://imgur.com/a/v1QCo43
i dont know what you're talking about. look at the back. it doesn't fit at all.

They also can be had for $30 on ebay if you don't mind a used/like new one.
If this was the V2 version I'd be all over since it sounds like the buttons have been improved greatly.

If not, returns are easy.

From my experience Bluetooth gives a delay. This direct connection gives a much faster response and better game experience.
