Excellent reliable drive. The one I bought in 2016 still works flawlessly. Zero issues after 1000s of usage hours & > 50 TBWs.

Cost? Nvme is otherwise superior. Or if you want to raid and need multiple drives.

Good drive, not a good price for the current market when we're seeing NVMe drives with DRAM go for significantly less.
This would be a great deal at 2tb or $60, or if this was posted 6 months ago, but it's a far cry from the slick-er deals of late.

About cost, there was $70 NVMe 1Tb gen 4 deals https://slickdeals.net/f/16042036-1tb-pny-cs2140-nvme-gen4-ssd-70?v=1&src=SiteSearch
*This NVMe may not apple-to-apple features like DRAM or Encryption support

About Raid, it back to ourselves what you need. My self, I need Raid to backup my important data (cold Storage) which is I prefer big capacity and cheap like mechanical spin disc hardrive because price/terra more make sense for my case.

Any way thank you to respond my curiosity.

I remember when this drive was $1000. I know that's how tech progresses, but still, wow. I ordered about 10 of these (not the 1tb of course) years ago and only 1 came DOA, and Crucial quickly sent me a replacement without requiring me to send my defective one back first.

There are always people living in worlds with purple skies. Smilie

Have any examples that are even close to make this realistic?
