It is capable of usb-c charging. The power block and wire for usb-c charging is not included.

Correct, RAM is not upgradeable. You are able to replace the NVMe.

Manufacturers who solder in 8GB of ram with no upgrade slots should be fined for creating e-waste

Is there any difference between this and the one that's $499 at Newegg?

https://slickdeals.net/f/15901225-asus-vivobook-pro-14-14-2-8k-16-10-oled-90hz-i5-11300h-8gb-ddr4-256gb-ssd-499-99

They have a slightly different model numbers but that might just be to prevent price matching.

It's the same laptop and yea they probably do that change for price match reasons. A while back Walmart wouldn't match the price for me because of the model number being slightly different even though everything else was the same.

The $500 Zenbook 12th gen Intel deal (6 months ago?). Was basically the same although maybe the Zenbook is a little fancier build quality in theory.
