I take what Eufy says about future features with a grain of salt. Way back, they promised rtsp for the doorbell. Several years later and still no rtsp...

Great price. But the next generation of Eufy cameras was just released. This a 2k camera. Not bad. The new one is 4k and does work with homebase3

Agree with this. Eufy is always saying, "coming soon" and it rarely comes, or if it does, it is a different model than the one to which they were referring.

I like this as a fail over camera incase of power outtage or missed event. However, you need direct sun at the location and angle u are monitoring

Can the settings be changed to turn off "Relevant Recordings" so it records animals rather than just humans? Lastly, can it be mounted sideways and the orientation of the recordings be changed accordingly?

Good to know - thanks for the info. I have been holding off on buying a security camera for about 5 years because a new and improved model is just around the corner haha.

Also, would rather buy from Costco for when this inevitably fails. Another consideration is that with a combined cam and solar panel, if one thing fails you have to trash the whole set as opposed to just replacing a stand-alone cam or stand-alone solar panel.

well they implemented rtsp on my floodlight cams that just came out recently and it doesn't work. but then they made an update after i guided their engineers and now it's all working.

I can concur. Way better connection than Arlo. I'm fully in on the ecosystem and even beta tested the new HB3 and new 4k solar cams. They work great.
