Both 2.4ghz and 5GHz. Wifi6 protocol.
I haven't tried this Eero 6 but I habe TP Link Deco 60 for the last 8 months and it has not dropped once. The signal is strong and consistent through the house. I can still. Connect from 50 yards away. The only down side is it only has dual bands.

So in short X60 has longer range and a slightly better average speed to each device in most cases, the eero 6+ has a way higher top speed of over 900Mbps while the X60 on a good day would be around 700-750Mbps in best case scenarios.
One final difference is the eero has a built in Zigbee smart hub for home automation if you want cloud based smart home automation which is less than ideal compared to local implementation.
Now as usual these results will vary person to person cause of location and setup.
I forget if the X60s come with a full suite or partial with the rest behind a pay wall, but the eero has a lot of features behind a pay wall.
In the trade in section Search for common brands like tp-link or netgear and see what it shows as acceptable. Then see if you can find one of the models for cheap( used , etc)
