My favorite Dashcam. I got it for $67 a few weeks ago on Amazon.

EDIT: This was Linus's top pick for best overall webcam. 100% agree with him. Most webcams are the same sensor and pure sh|t. Do not bother with Linus's budget pick of $70 when this is just $10 more.

Make sure to get SanDisk endurance cards for this!

does it have to be sandisk? what about samsung ? have a samsung endurance i bought a few days ago

I've had lots of sandisk endurance sd cards go bad in my dash cams. I've yet to have a samsung endurance card go bad

adorama at amazon is selling for $99 if you look at other seller

adorama website, however has two versions

the NON GPS [adorama.com] one is $75
the GPS [adorama.com] one, which is what amazon is selling, is $80

so basically you can't ask for price match since it's the same model

on the other hand, i have a question. if i want this dash cam to keep recording while the car is not driven, viofo suggests to connect it to car's battery. If i don't want to use the car battery, is it possible to hook it up to a power bank, for example?

If so, how?

I don't see why not? You could plug the power bank into a usb port or charger that only charges when the car is running. The cameras themselves are almost always USB so you could just plug it into your power bank and you're good to go.

I'd wonder about the power bank being able to withstand the temperature swings that car interiors get.

I saw it myself while browsing Amazon. I had just bought 2 and then saw it with a coupon $15 to clip and bought 2 more and canceled original 2.

I had no idea it was even posted on SD. CCC isn't the most reliable amazon price utility unfortunately.

Is the Viofo a129 with GPS & WiFi any good for $110? I've been looking for a few months now. I need to and this Black Friday deal only lets me buy 1. Not sure if the WiFi is worth it. Looks like I still need to get SD cards anyways.

And what capacity MicroSD do I need?
