Skip this one and do the deal from Samsung with edu discount and iPad 1 trade in. It was like 99 for 64GB and $129 for the 128GB. Used IPad 1 in working condition can be had for around $30 on eBay. So $130 to $160ish total
I think this one is better and includes the S Pen.
I'm an Apple guy and have been playing around with my S6 over the weekend. I love it! You can connect your iPhone via usb c and download apps and data from your phone or cloud. Also grabbed a 512GB microSD card from one of the several deals here. They'll make awesome head rest video players for the kiddos. Just got wifey one as well.
My only complaint is how much the Samsung cases cost. They're on sale for $35 but originally $70.

No offense but these last 2 comments are not helpful. A surface pro 9 is better than all this, but it's also like 4 times the price.
I am looking at this or the lenovo m10 sitting here in a box for 100 less. Is this really worth an 80% premium?
No, a surface pro 9 has worse screen and speakers than a p11 pro. That's an asinine comparison for obvious reasons (computer vs Android tablet). I'm trading my tab s8 for the p11 pro (and keeping my s8 ultra) That's how good it is. $70 difference between this and the tab s6 lite is nothing compared to the chasm in quality. The p11 pro is in the same price bracket, essentially, while competing favorably against the ultra premium segment.
The tab s6 refurbished through Amazon is only $268 or $279. A lot more performance, much better screen, better speakers, more premium build and lighter. Only downside is the software support but it's already received the 12L update which is all that really matters imo.

Yes, but getting the deal from edu discount is as hard as getting to the top of Mt. Everest.
I was trying out the S6 Lite for a few days and comparing it side by side with ipad 9. My main focus was to take notes using onenote, so my opinion would be limited to my experience with this.
The s-pen is really great and writes smoothly with zero noise as opposed to the logitech crayon on the ipad 9. One issue i had initially with the S6 lite was that the home button was at the mid-bottom of the screen, and while using onenote, it was quitting randomly. But 3 days after use, these was a software update and the home button moved to the right corner while using onenote, and it was no longer an issue.
Since onenote for android has limited functionality compared to on ios, I decided to return it and go the ios route.
(Specifically, the icon to create space anywhere within the page (an equal sign with arrows pointing up and down) was missing in the android, which was a deal-breaker for me)
Samsung notes is a way better app in my opinion. And it can sync with One Note if need be

Yes, Samsung notes is great. If they add the create space functionality that onenote has, it would be even better. Often while taking notes there is a need to update with additional details from references, and it is convenient to just be able to push the entire text-block down instead of having to lasso. If onenote on android would have this feature, or if samsung notes would have this feature, I feel like a lot of people would benefit from this.

Indeed. Samsung notes allow sharing notes but it's stupid because the sharees are read only. Only the sharer can edit. Thanks for that other info

Thanks for sharing that it is possible to sync it with onenote. I have samsung notes downloaded on my pc, and it would be good to be able to access this on onenote. I agree that it would be helpful to have the option to choose edit privilege as determined by the sharer.

I know samsung notes can access one note. However I don't think it works both ways. Good luck

Could you please share where you got the ipad, I couldn't find any good working condition options on eBay
