Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Ah so you stuck with the 10gb plan but with the benefit of unlimited tethering? Sounds like a pretty sweet deal Smilie
Tethering itself uses the data (plus the data bucket we always have since we are home on WIFI most of the time).

But - tether to the TV and stereo that does not use 'data' - use man many GB's and never counts against the 'data'. It can be confusing - hence the push to automatically 'upgrade'.

Is Verizon offering a better deal? I know the $25 home internet promos between Verizon and T-Mobile are matched.
This is what I get so far

We have the 5G Start plan cost $30/mo per line with auto pay and paperless billing enrolled. 5G Start Unlimited is for those who want a simple Unlimited plan, and no worries. You can get all the basics with unlimited talk, text, data and mobile hotspot. And never worry about overage charges again.

With this plan, you will get $360 credit per line fro bringing your own device.

Has anyone tried to use this to apply a corporate discount? My company has a 20% discount on the Magenta Max plan if I add a new line. I haven't done it because I don't want to add a new line. Would this count?
Just tried... they said this can't be combined with an account that has a corporate discount. Sad.

I was told the same way, that I needed to move to an upgrade Magenta Max 9-12 Lines. Confirmed several times if my discounts would stay as well as pricing would the stay the same, the rep said yes.
I took a lot of screenshots and will make sure I don't have to pay any additional monthly payment, aside from the one-time $35 charge. We'll see...
I'm scared to do the same with my One plan

I am on Tmobile Essential plan. Called twice, both reps didn't even know what I was talking about. Anyone on that plan able to get it?
I'm on essential plan (4 lines $100) and got a free line. I did a chat on the app. It took 45 minutes, sometimes the rep would take 10 minutes to respond so I assume they are very busy.

On a grandfathered Simple Choice North America Unlimited family match plan with 14gb hotspot. Also have 2 free lines from 2016-2017 time period. Called and was told that the account is not eligible for another free line. Was offered a promo of one line on us if you activate two lines. Thought about switching to the Max plan but the SCNA plan is too good to let go with company/govt discounts it comes to about $130 for 6 lines.

Rep said I was eligible, but then changed her mind and said I wasn't eligible because I didn't have 'the segment' to qualify? I haven't seen that terminology anywhere else in this thread. Should I try another rep, or does this mean I am not a 'lottery winner'?

Anyone know if once you get the sim you can use that to add a Apple Watch rather than an iPhone?

10 years with them and have been paying $55 every month for 1 line in simple select plan. Unimited talk and text and 5GB of data. Everytime I call for a free line they keep talking about the granrdfathered plan I'm in and how I'm saving a ton of money. Any plan they offer to add a line to my existing one is $100+tax. T-mobile sucks big time. Not sure how you guys get so many lines paying less.
It seems the best grandfathered plans are Simple choice with 6GB or 10GB base plan, and then tack on the free upgrades over time that upgrade their lines to unlimited or extra GB. Back in those days it was 4 lines for $100 (or slightly more for larger data). Some folks here also had corporate discounts, which T-Mobile discontinued a while back but still allow for "grandfathered" users. I think the people here who brag about their very cheap rates have stacked these promotions overtime or very avid T-Mobile promo chasers.
