Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

If you're not planning on making any charges to your plan or haven't made any changes that might disqualify you, take a chance and do it yourself online or in the app. If it doesn't sow up as promo, just cancel the new line
If I try to add a line myself it says it will cost me $20 which is the normal price for an extra line. Is the a code I need to add, or do I go thru with adding a line and see if the promo sticks?

Also, i have this Simple Choice North America with 2 lines plus a paid line plus 2 fee lines. I have not made any changes to this in years. I really do not need one of the free lines (one is tablet line that I never use anymore), but I would need a phone line. so in essence I am in need of 5 phone lines on the cheap. how much will that set me back with Magenta or Magenta Max

For those that got charge $15 a month for this free line, it's because of the Add-on "6GB ...". Just ask the rep to change the Add-on to "SC 4/100 3GB Data & SMHS". It should be $0 after the change. Here is the detail of that plan:

"3 GB of 4G LTE data on our network. Includes Domestic data roaming, Mobile Hotspot, Music Freedom. 3G data speeds after 3 GB."

For me (20+ yr customer w/ Grandfathered SC plan) she said it would be 2GB for mine.

Here is my current account setup:

Simple Choice (first 4 lines free)

Line 1 - Free Simple Choice
Line 2 - Free Simple Choice
Line 3 - Free Simple Choice
Line 4 - Free Simple Choice
Line 5 - $10/month add a line
Line 6 - $10/month add a line
Line 7 - Free 2020 Line on Us promotion
Line 8 - Free 2022 BYOD Line P1 promotion

If I'm understanding what others have said correctly I need to wait 12 months before I can port lines 5 and 6 elsewhere for a month to then port the numbers back into T-Mobile so those numbers will replace what's currently on Lines 7 and 8? If I do that prior to 12 months then I'll lose the promotion on Line 8 making it free?
You have to keep two paid lines to keep all free lines.

But the Tforce person said I was not eligible when I asked.

Should I ignore that?
Yes you can ignore that and add a line yourself.

Asked tforce and app chat. No go on my grandfathered select choice plan. App won't allow me to add a line also. Probably reached account limit of 5 lines.
Anyone had success on a select choice plan ? not simple choice.

10 hours later and still no response to my Twitter DM. See the comment a little bit above yours. It says our plan cannot have more than 3 lines.
I don't think the messages are in a queue. The easier ones get picked up and the harder ones sit around, as I tried a 3rd message and got a rejection in 2 hours. I read that even 2 years ago, it takes multiple tries to get a rep who is willing to do it, but now who knows

As for changing your plan, we can definitely help to get you moved to a plan that supports more than 3 lines! However for this, we would need to select from the current pool of plan options. I'd be happy to go over pricing on the Magenta plan if that is something that you'd be interested in going over together

No, we are capped at 3 lines.

I talked about it here:
https://slickdeals.net/f/16311616-eligible-t-mobile-postpaid-customers-w-2-lines-get-one-new-byod-line-free-one-time-35-dcc-fee-applies?p=160383349#post160383349

We're all on FRLTUL2LP and are maxed at 3 lines. You can find the details at the wiki in this 2020 thread.

I tried to message T-Force through Twitter twice but haven't gotten any response after over 24 hours. I asked them if I can switch to FRLTULF2 and then add a holiday unwrapped line. I get the same change to Magenta issue online that would double my bill if I try to add a line, and when I tried iMessage, they wanted to switch me to Magenta and so I declined.

Yeah it'll show the price of the phone without any promo. There is no code you need to enter. After you order if it's for a regular sim (not esim) it might take up to 2 days to show. The new phone number and promo should reflect once the sim Good luck.

Can the free line be used for a data line for a laptop or for a modem?

Magenta max 2 paid lines and 9 free lines ( with the latest AAL)
Thanks! Assuming if you continue to take advantage of these add free lines promo to the max of 12 per account ( I think max is 12 for Magenta) will your monthly total continue to be further reduced?
