I'm not seeing 300 nits or 100% sRBG anywhere. Not in any ads and not on the Acer site.

Says the 144hz panel is likely 250 nits and 70% sRGB: https://www.ultrabookreview.com/5...22-review/

Review of this model: https://www.pcworld.com/article/1...mance.html

"The 1080p is sufficient, however, for this size of panel, leaving the lackluster brightness as the display's biggest flaw. It's a rather dim display with dull colors that is best suited for gaming in a basement or other dark environment. In my office that receives some natural light, I had the display brightness set to its max at all times and often tapped the brightness-up button in a feeble attempt to increase it further."

144hz 1080p displays tend to be cheap/poor in all ways this year... unless there are manufacturer specs or reviews saying otherwise.
Absolutely not.
You should wait for the 5000s.
As the 2023 laptops with the 4000 series graphic cards hit the market, these older 2022 models will continue to fall in price. I noticed only one sold on ebay. If you can wait until April, much better deals will come around.

This is a pretty solid deal though if you're looking for a 17". 6800h, DDR5 ram, gen 4 ssd, high powered 3060. Only thing that might come down into the $700-800 price range might be a 3070 refurb laptop, and hopefully it'd be high powered. Only negative I can see is it's not a qhd 1440 screen. But honestly, at 17", 1080p is fine. Also comes w a two year warranty which is nice

Hmm 🤔

This is a good point. I was going based on the original post, but it's possible they're posting incorrect information. I'll edit my response. Good catch.

Any chance we can get brand-new at these prices? Wanted a 1TB SSD, this is the right price, but it is refurbished...

This is exactly what I am looking for besides more info on the screen. Can anyone with personal experience give a review on the screens brightness and color. If its more on the upper end of being good, I'd buy one...if that makes sense..lol
