This is a solid product for the price. However, if you won't finish your build for several months, no point in buying a GPU now I'd say. The upcoming products (e.g. RTX 4070, RX 7800 XT, RX 7700 XT etc) are direct replacements/upgrades for this class of GPU and would put additional pressure on retailers to discount last gen. Depending on when you finish your build, you could also benefit from things like president's day, memorial day, amazon prime day sales etc.

Also, there's hardly any reason there would be shortages this year based on public financial reports released by TSMC, NVIDIA, AMD etc. All reports indicate the main supplier TSMC has excess capacity and sales are down, especially for desktop GPUs.

Could have maybe made a case for the A770 with card prices being what they were when it launched, but it doesn't make sense anymore. At 1440p it performs like a 6650xt, but those are available for $275 or less. And if you're willing to pay $350, the 6700xt beats it comfortably.

I went ahead and bit. Cant see this getting much cheaper anytime soon. Was kinda hoping for a 6800, but this will do fine. Only concern I have with this particular model is that many of the reviews state that it gets really hot. Others say heat is not an issue. Hoping maybe that was resolved in a driver or bios update.

$350 w/o rebate is quite nice. Although, you could have had a 6750xt for $360 with a $20 rebate

6750XT is basically an overclocked 6700 and it's way less power efficient (since it's pushing where the chipset was designed to operate). I'd save the money, rebate hassle, and energy. If they were the same price with no rebate, grab a 6750XT for sure, but not really worth paying more for it.

I'm looking to build my first gaming pc here in the next couple of months, and I've done quite a bit of research the last few weeks and I've made my decision I'm going for a 6700 xt. So far this is the lowest I've seen this type of card at. Question is… should I hold out for just a little lower on the price… or get it now so I have it when I start buying my other components in the next couple of months?

Big upgrade to an r9 fury for 1440p? I'm not in a particular hurry, but some stuff is a real struggle these days and I miss getting updates and new features.

This vs the 6700 XT for video editing in Davinci Resolve? I have a Vega 56 now. Any insight from anyone?

I only do photo and video and I have the RX 570 now and I notice a nice bump in speed.

But my computer is 2 years old.

Should I upgrade to this video card?
