And yes, your $30 corded drill is more powerful than your $100 cordless drill. That's why I qualified my statement with "all other things being equal (or even merely close to equal)". The truth is, short of something like a hammer drill or a miter saw, modern cordless tools have more than enough power for most jobs.
My point, while slightly tongue in check, was/is that A/C cords can be a pain. I have a corded rotary tool that I'm sure is more powerful that this 18 volt Ryobi. But trying to stuff that stiff A/C cord along with the tool back into the blow molded case is a constant nuisance.
