Using a card payment processor at 2.9% you'd be able to cycle $4,000 for $116 in fees - add the $69 card fee and you're at $185 for Companion Pass and 34,000 points, which is a solid deal for 11 months of pass.
I got the Priority card a little over a year ago. I was able to add the card to ApplePay before getting the physical card.
Once the card appears in your accounts in the Chase app
go to the card,
click Show More under Account Services
Click Digital Wallets
I was able to add the card to ApplePay. GPay and Paypal are also offered but I did not try to add those.
Hope this helps someone. It's possible they changed this since I did do it over a year ago.
Have done the CP many times. This looks like an easy way to get it. Too bad I have no desire to fly anymore.

Same happened to me. This morning, I got an email saying a new letter is in my Chase account. I logged in and I located the letter. I had been denied approval because "too many credit inquiries or accounts opened with Chase". Which was absolutely incorrect. Neither part of that statement was true. I got on the phone. The third person I was transferred to (now talking to someone in the Philippines) finally asked if it was okay to do a hard credit pull. I said OK, knowing my credit score is 830. She then got back on the line and said she was recommending approval! She transferred me to someone else (now back in the US). After a few minutes holding on the line, I was approved. I logged back into my Chase accounts and the new card is there. What a runaround! 44 minutes on the phone. Couldn't believe they never bothered to do a credit pull before denying.
How many days after applying did you get that letter from chase? I applied today and wasn't instantly approved.
2 questions:
1- My premier account was closed for non use end of january so do i have to open a different card to qualify
2- venmo accept credit cards with a 3% charge so can't i just send a payment to my wife for 4k to qualify
I keep seeing that you can apply for the business card as well to get your extra points to reach the companion pass even if you do not have a business
Is that not frown upon or have some risk ?
I applied for the card, was denied, called in, eventually spoke to someone who approved me. Two issues:
(1) my online application was done through a referral that would give someone 20,000 points
(2) the link was for the companion pass promotion
Since I was approved over the phone after initial denial, did I lose the referral points and/or the companion pass promotion? (Would hate to charge the required amount and not receive the companion pass)

If the reconsideration and approval used the info on your original application (i.e. they didn't ask you again for all the info on your application so that they could make a new application), my experience is that everything attached to your original application, like a referral and a promo, should remain intact.
Bummer that the non-CP offers are not available. I got the Biz card 80k offer last month and was waiting 30 days to get the personal card to get the full CP. Now the personal offers have all been replaced. Guess I have to wait another 2 weeks for the CP offer to expire and for the full points to come back.

I would like to know the same
Yup-- it's one of the things that makes the SW companion pass a lot better than the Alaska one (where it must be a cash fare)

Applied in the afternoon (day 1). Heard nothing the next day (day 2). Next morning, I received the email (day 3).

If anyone else's interested, let me know and we can split the referral.
