The max brightness on this tv is excellent. My living room is very bright in the daytime and this has no problem overpowering the ambient light.
The latest Matrix movie look incredible on this tv.

Talked a lot to the distributor, and they said there was a planned cut back in inventory of this tv for the newer 2023 model coming late this spring/early summer. And then covid hit the manufacturing plant, and they couldn't make many of them at all.
The delivery time in late January was "anytime between mid Feb and early July". I was pleased to get it on the early end of the curve!
I'd guess that they're going to be in short supply, until the new u8 model is released. I watch the stock periodically and it's been Pc Richard now and then, Bestbuy here and there for a day or so.
Incredibly bright tv. I still have some calibrating to do, but so far I'm very impressed with the PQ and performance. Coming from an upper-mid range Sony.
