Depends on too many factors to answer properly. Depth and weight of snow, temperature, etc. This is only a 4ah battery, so not huge.

I'd expect that would make snow cleanup for most folks easier. I'm in Colorado Springs and we occasionally get dumped on, I'd imagine I'll need to dig out my old but still useful Troybilt gas power 24" snowblower for larger/wet snow. I'll use this 40v one for smaller snow so I don't end up smelling like 2 stroke before going to work in the mornings after a storm.

Everyone's needs and conditions are different, but again, this would be great for most folks.

EDIT: As a note, when I ordered just a few minutes ago, the price was $149!
You could if you buy their 80v snow blower, this is 40v and those 80v batteries likely will not fit

I'm in for one.

I've been telling myself that I am gonna find a cheap snow blower for the past 2 seasons. I'd say this is cheap enough. We are supposed to get snow on Wednesday so I will try it out and return if needed.

This is great for someone like myself that lives in Philly. I had an electric one of the same size for 10 years. I have a walkway from my front door to the street but of course I have to shovel the 4 steps. Then the sidewalk. It took two passes for 15 minutes tops total of time, so this is ideal for city dwellers but aim ur snow wisely or your neighbor will shoot you ass.. haaaaaaa

For the mount of snow this works, a push shovel is better and cleaner.

I own a similar one by Snow Joe. It can handle snow that deep as long as it hasn't been allowed to sit overnight and become packed down and icy. My biggest complaint is the chute that throws the snow, becomes frozen and won't rotate. Mine is three years old and I keep the battery inside my house.

Wish this was the 60v version. I have a 60v mower, trimmer, and leaf blower. Love all of them

Bad reviews appear to be related to my comments above ... don't expect too much out of a 40v snow blower. Its not meant to move 10" of heavy snow, nor a whole 3 car driveway on a single charge.

Also appears the batteries are only good down to 7F, any lower they will turn themselves off and must be warmed up to keep going (which is counter intuitive for a snow blower.)

Again, though, this is great deal for most people and average needs, IMO.
This is why you don't leave your batteries outside in the cold. If you keep your batteries inside and then take them out, put them in the machine and then get working this issue will never be a factor.

I like Greenworks but I wouldn't buy them anywhere but Costco because Costco covers the batteries under warranty for 8 years. Plus you get a 4 year warranty on the machine and they will take it back for any reason.

Just letting people know we've had the hottest decade ever recorded. Northeast NJ didn't see any snow this winter. Didn't use my snowblower once.

I recently purchased the 13amp corded version, haven't unboxed yet so I could return for this. Anyone have experience in the power between the two models? I'm not bothered by the cord.

I bought the 15amp snowjoe 21" corded blower and it was absolute junk, not enough power to do much of anything with it. Shoveling was much quicker and easier. This thing bogged down and the cord was a big hassle. The tubing for the handle was so small that I thought it was going to snap on me. After two tries on mild snowfalls I boxed it up and returned it. Now I have heard that battery powered snowblowers are better, especially the EGOs, but I do not have high hopes for this 40v snowblower. I own 5 or 6 batteries and lots of 40V greenworks equipment so I am essentially buying this for the battery which retails for not much less than this. If I'm lucky I can sell the blower by itself for $50 bucks and come out ahead.

I have a snow blower attachment to a riding mower for my driveway, but that beast struggles on curvy sidewalk. Gonna give this a try.
