I paid only one month of service, and let it sit in the box. It's automatically unlocked 180 days later.

Am I the only one terrified of going into a metro store. Have read so many horror stories of mangers making up their own rules (requiring insurance, buying cases, requiring 3 months of service)

Can I port in a US mobile or mint number and get this deal?
US mobile yes because it's Verizon. Mint no because it's T-Mobile.

Do they require how long you need to stay with the previous carrier?

I used to work for Metropcs, They do this because the Company wants to meet a certain quota to upsale all these add-ons. Usually insurance not sure about the rest though.
My ex-gf was manager at a Verizon store, she said they had quotas for everything, new activations, accessories, insurance, ect.. if you didn't meet the months quota, nothing really happened, other than maybe a "try to do better next month" comment from superiors. Many consecutive months missing it though, they may let you go for under performing, but that's if someone else is coming onboard. If sell a certain amount over their quotas they'll get bonu$e$.

I got mine for $90.43 ( $60+$20+taxes )
Which location? Did they only charge taxes on 80 and not on full price?

Metro is a different company than Verizon. Most companies try to encourage upsales, etc. That goes with a position in sales. But Metro seems to take it to a whole new level with forcing them on customers just to get a deal that shouldn't require it and just plain lying about everything to try and justify it. Sure, it can happen anywhere, but that's pretty much the norm at Metro. People actually getting the promised deal without jumping through hoops is the exception rather than the rule.

And if you want 2 iphones on 2 lines, they will say only 1 per member.
In Dec, my store was curious why I wasn't adding the 2 new Iphone 11 to my account which had 2 existing lines resulting from Metro Iphone 11 purchases. They said I was eligible to buy 4 iPhone 11 and that would have resulted in additional bundle savings. I was there to buy 2 Iphone 11 using my wife's account, believing SD posts about the limit of 2 phones per account. The rep recognized me even when I wore a mask.

I usually go to the corporate store. I never had to face anyone try to sell me insurance or accessories.
I was always able to get multiple phones at a time while trying to port multiple numbers. Never faced any issue.

Is it worth $10 for you to forgo the deal? Only you can decide that.

It's actually pretty hard to find stores that won't stick you with bogus charges, and $10/phone is on the VERY mild end of what you can expect at Metro stores.

Sorry man but you made the wrong move. $10 is nothing for this deal.

$100 for an iPhone 11 is an excellent deal

At least they didn't make you buy a screen protector and charger/cases
