Ugh...I just got into the Ridgid ecosystem with the DTO sale several weeks ago with a hammer drill kit. I want to expand the tools by later adding an impact wrench/driver/ratchet, then this Ryobi deal shows up :-(

I bought one about 2 years ago for $99 which I use for the junkyard.
It's 300 ft.lb and I beat the heck out of it. Never failed me. I've used it to remove tow hitches and lugnuts.

This one is $99 for 375 ft.lb which is even better.

For $169 there's the one with 600 ft.lb. I've had to use this it break off a seized lugnut...snapped the stud as expected.

is it hackable (Return Drill keep battery, charger and deflator for half the price)?
Yes, $49.50 + Tax for one if you don't pick up the other. Just schedule the pickup at two different locations. Then after you get the one you want, call the location of the one you don't want to cancel. Very simple.

I already have the P262 and the high torque 1/2" Ryobi impacts. I told myself I wasn't going to get another because I don't need it it.

However, I decided that I'm going to make a "roadside kit" to put in my vehicle. It will contain this impact, a set of flip sockets for lug nuts, the dual inflator, a jump pack and maybe a few other emergency items all in a Ryobi bag.

I would be cautious of this, instead of canceling my order they said I picked it up and spent a couple hours on the phone trying to fix it. I resorted to a charge back.

If you're asking about the 1/2" Impact, there's no comparison, this is a much larger tool in every aspect.
For a more useful comparison I have a DCF923 that I compared it to. This tool is much larger and heavier, but seems to be similar output give or take a bit.
I bought this for my dad as he's in this ecosystem. He'll only be using it for track days to change wheels on a car and this will do that (that was my test if it would be good for him). Break free lugs, snug lugs, then use torque wrench to tighten to spec. I also ordered the 3/8" impact but with this performance I'm guessing it won't be enough for lugs.
I wouldn't get this for him if he was planning on using it often.

I don't think everyone agrees with the ethics of this, which is where I'm assuming the down votes are coming from. I was taught about this a week or so ago when they ran the same promo when someone mentioned it. I haven't tried it, but apparently tons of others have and succeeded. I feel no shame in doing it to Home Depot. They make plenty money off me, trust me.

That sucks. I have done this plenty of times with Rigid. Sometimes, I called them, sometimes I just didn't pick it up, letting them cancel it. Depending on store, time varies. Some stores keep it ready for weeks before they cancel. A call speeds that up and clears space in their pick-up area.

See attached pic from the video screenshots with TTC real world tests. The Dewalt 850 is 1/2 as long 1/2 as heavy and 1/2 as powerful. Couldn't find details on the 809. Different purposes (Power vs weight/manuverability)
