this is a great GPU if you tune it to eat less power. you can get the same performance at 100W less power draw.

load of horse s**t. recently i tried to return a motherboard. they sent it back to me claiming that it was missing an M.2 SSD heatsink. that model doesn't come with any SSD heatsinks! it took me at least 8 calls to find someone who either didn't hang up on me or wasn't brain dead and understood the situation.

a couple of years back, they sent me someone else's used return. i sent it back saying they sent me a used item but they charged me a $170 restocking fee because they said it was opened.

ever since newegg got bought out by chinese investors, it turned into garbage

Not sure why this isn't getting more love. $660 is a new low, isn't it?

I would rather wait for Amazon...easier return if needed.

Because things are falling apart quickly, and one who buys a GPU should be smart enough to know that further price drop is on the way.

It seems to have something to do with buyers experiencing and reporting a variety of issues ranging from mobo + psu damage from what I assume is overload and blowing out due to such heavy power demand.
Some have mentioned crashes, lackluster improvement over a 6700xt that only uses about 200 watts. And other things.

A happy go median would be a more stable and not so extremely tuned card like this, and specifically these 6950s from XFX. Efficiency is definitely an issue in terms of power usage.

The power draw is just too great at 350w and resulting in very very high temps right under 100C constantly. Even with monster heatsinks there is just too much power used and again the heat.
Check out GamerNexus's review on 6950.

If you get it from Newegg, it takes like 3- 5 days for delivery.

This is what I did. Early March ship date, so I can keep an eye on prices before it arrives (and still have 30 days afterwards to return if it drops further).

And 3-5 months to deal with returns if something goes south. Not worth it.

Newegg has a 30-DAY HASSLE-FREE RETURNS.

Any product sold and shipped by Newegg labeled with the 30-Day Hassle-Free Returns badge is eligible for free returns within 30 days with no restocking fees and free return shipping.

My refund took 2-3 days, it was that easy.

This or 7900 XT at $810 (Micro Center open box)? I think 7900 XT / XTX price could go down a lot more

I just sent my 7900xt back. No issues at all, this is now the second product I've bought from them and returned w/ that 30 day no fuss and had no fuss

Not till NVIDIA lowers their prices.
