That said there is the usual conundrum of someday being able to use the extra 1500 to 3500MB/s some day for an extra $20 to 50 but chances are by then it will make more sense to go with PCIe5 drives.
I have the 1tb version of this and It's been working just fine as an OS drive. Desktop in seconds, at game menu in less than a minute from shutdown to steam start-up and finally launching the game.
Updates don't take forever. Apps open fast.

and if you want better TLC and Dram for a little more then there is this...

Bootup times and apps load just as fast (I kept timings)
Games I had been using the 980pro, with 2.5" SSD for OS and basic apps (office2016/browser)
Now using the 980pro for most everything..... no difference TBH
Would this 2TB be slower than a 980pro? Yes.. but a game loading in 3.2sec instead of 3.9sec is fine to me...and most other people.
My $.02
Seems like an "OK" drive... personally I'd spend a few more$$ for something else as a drive like this should last for years.
Review of drive....

PNY > Kingston
Kingston is the worst in my experience. Stick to Sandisk or Samsung
Can't you people stop saying the crap? Do better.
Will this work for my PS5?
Btw, do you realize $60 more also means 60% higher than this deal?

Come on, there hasn't been any consumer-grade SLC SSD for the past half-decade at least.
