Free flow of outside air and sound on each ear cup. The outside part of each ear cup is not sealed. Therefore, larger sound stage and sound seems like it's coming naturally from in front of you instead of inside your head.

It also means that it doesn't block outside noise. If someone is next to you on the bus, they can hear your music and you can hear them

These are my favorite gaming headphones for PC. You can wear them for long sessions and they don't hurt at all. Sound quality is better than gaming headsets and they're lightweight. They feel like astros without the extra weight

Own these. Good headphones, if you put a eq profile on them they become great headphones.

Review linked below, (same headphones in different color) I read this before getting these. I knew nothing about putting an eq profile on them, but there was a guide and the profiles are linked in the first comment under the review. I tested the headphones for a week and thought they were fine, then decided to try eq. Woah. Way better, now I love them! Like really love them. I also love open back headphones now too.

I too use these on a PC for gaming and music, works fantastic for both uses for me. I use them connected to a cheap audio interface, no complaints at all. If they break I'll get another set.

I know some people commented that they also have the 598 series, but how do they compare? I have both the 598 SE and CS. I appreciate both, and run them through my portable Fiio amp. Worth the upgrade? I'll eventually get the offerings available on Drop, but was itching for a new set of cans. This seems like a relatively inexpensive scratch.

For gaming, these are my favorite I've had since my HD555s(which was an amazing headset), wish they made wireless version of these. You are able to unplug the cord from the headset when not in use to store. Very comfortable and the velour ear cushions feel so much better than the leather style alot of companies use. I paid $120 for mine so this is a good deal. A good eq setting for gaming can really improve the directional hearing with these.

if i havent already own the 558 and the game 1 from senn, i would totally jump on this. this is about the same price i got the 558 many years ago. so consider inflation and such this is a STEAL!

The 558 is a great pair. I have some near field monitors here and honestly it's hard to tell if I have them on or off when wearing these. The sound is really close to the monitors.
