Basically if you've never had an OLED or QLED, you'll tolerate the issues because the picture quality is a massive improvement in most cases. If you have experience with QLED/OLED you might find the issues unforgivable.
The U8K dropping this summer should have a different SOC so it will be interesting to see if some issues are mitigated or remain. Hisense is gonna be in a tough spot if QD-OLED moves closer in priceā¦if I can get a QD-OLED for under $1500 I don't know that I'd buy a Hisense ULED/MiniLED for $1000 (even though they keep improving it).
One thing to keep in mind though: do not expect any reasonable software update support. Mine is still stuck on the Feb 2021 android security patch. I reached out to their support to see if there was a later update that wasn't showing up OTA, and they sent me an update file timestamped Mar 2021 so I didn't even bother installing it.
That's about half a year of security update support from when it was released to market.
If you get this, I would recommended against connecting it to the internet and instead using a streaming box/stick that doesn't leave a hole in your network.

I have the 75 inch, and I didn't notice any of these. Maybe it's time to check my eyesš

Spent 6 months dealing with them all while I just replaced the tv. Has an issue with a Samsung OLED, they sent a local tech over and replaced the entire panel within a week. All because of a dead pixel.

Sony/Samsung are your friends

Not sure what you mean by "scrolling", maybe you're talking about motion handling?
Rtings tries pretty hard to declare that they're independentā¦they buy the TV from a store instead of accepting TV from the manufacturer.
That being said, the one thing that's kind of suspect is their "Best TVs" category. They went from 5 TVs total to 7 TVs so that they could keep the Hisense stuff in thereā¦adding "Upper mid range" & "Lower mid range" & "Best Cheap TV". Make of that what you will, but their ratings definitely impact a lot of people's buying decisionsā¦

Look at similarly priced Sony and Samsung tv's. They have much better viewing angles than Hisense and TCL..

QLED and OLED are two completely different things. OLED does not rely on zones like QLED and mini LED

Only cons I would call out are:
- Crappy Android OS Smart TV features and recommend Apple TV or Roku or Fire or ANYTHING else
- Banding and posterization but I don't notice in most content, but it does show up
I really can't over emphasize how bright this TV is compared to most. I never put much stake in HDR prior, and in many games I would turn off and tune picture to better IMO. This TV is a game changer and games not previously played in HDR that re now look a whole next gen from what they are IMO. If the 65" is anything like the 55", I highly recommend.
