Specs would also be nice (why can't they at least list the basic dimensions?).
I can't find any reviews. The manufacturers website doesn't list it. The part # pulls up nothing.
It feels like I'm Guinee pigging a test product, but I hate my multipiece closed trap bar so much that I'll give this a go. Just need to try something new that's not $300+.
No bronze bushings, weighs 38 lbs, knurled handles (painted and passive), 9.5 inch sleeves with Signature Fitness end-cap.
Definitely a steal for the price, but not identical to the Bells of Steel version.

This looks like it has pretty long sleeves which is nice if using bumpers.
Personally I think the open trap bar feature is pretty unnecessary, easy enough to use a wedge to load plates. I guess you could do some rows but I can't think of much else that a closed trap bar wouldn't be as good for.
Currently I'm using a homemade trap bar made out of black steel schedule 40 and 2x4s, so anything would be an upgrade. It's been going strong for 2+ years now (built it when equipment was insanely overpriced and unavailable along with some concrete weights). Trying to decide between this open bar, and the regular (closed) balancefrom hex bar and just building DIY Kaizen's Trap bar jack. https://garagegymexperi

1) I zoomed in on the closest shot of the product, and played with the levels. If you look very closely here on the bottom left: https://i.imgur.com/i1Kvgmp.png you can see what looks like a knurling pattern. There's also no specular highlights (reflections) where the knurling would be in any of the photos
2) Doesn't seem like there would be any reason to not include it. All their other bars have knurling, including what looks to be the predecessor to this product: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Balanc.../637481331
3) The product it's based off, the bells of steel open trap bar, has knurling. They obviously made a lower cost copy with the welded fixed (instead of rotating) sleeves. Having a 1000 lb rated product it's aimed at a user that would *definitely* not appreciate having smooth handles. Even the absolutely cheapest bar of this type on the market, the CAP bolt-together one, at least textured handles. Having smooth painted metal would be a seriously dangerous design flaw just asking for lawsuits.
Given how easy returns would be, and how surprised I've been how nice their other stuff is especially for the price I'm willing to give it a shot.

On your 3rd point, you say welded sleeves. In Walmart's 2nd picture, the sleeve is not welded.
I highly doubt there are bearings, but this is potentially a pressed on sleeve with bushings. Lightening that 2nd picture also reveals c clips on the ends of the sleeves.

For me personally as long as its not *worse* than what I have currently (black steel pipe) I'll be happy. So far grip hasn't been that big of an issue. I have balanceform's 7' olympic bar and the knurling is actually very, very good. Much more aggressive than you would think for a 'budget' bar, but I guess we'll see when the disgruntled fedex driver shows up at my house.
