Oh hey, they released a second version, neat.
Definitely.
And you'd need some headroom to do overhead exercises too

If it's same as BoS there is aggressive knurling

I just read the reviews and it seems like there is knurling, but mixed reviews on the aggressiveness. More than likely though it won't be nearly as aggressive as the BoS one, but for $100 might be worth it. Most will use straps anyways if going heavy.

In for one, for ~$100 shipped I'll bite and try it out. Been on the market for a trap bar, so even entry level at this time will be fine.

that's a solid price. Bells of Steel ver is $300. Right now titan fitness open trap bar is $270, and the Giant Fitness open trap bar (coop from garagegymreviews did a video on it) is about $280 ($325 or so for shipping)...
The higher price bars are rackable so that does offer some flexibility in versatility.
There is an open trap bar with multiple handles that is more like those $300+ ones for $175. I never used it before, it popped up in search when i was looking at titan fitness one. lol.

Trap bar are "easier" on deadlifts, and my training buddy trains and competes in strongman, so it's a multi-use equipment. carries/walks are nice on open than the close. I'm pretty tempted at at $99 to try it out. I feel like those who are looking at t his have had the used the cheaper closed one before, and understand the limits of that one.

Received mine yesterday, took some photos [imgur.com].

No bronze bushings, weighs 38 lbs, knurled handles (painted and passive), 9.5 inch sleeves with Signature Fitness end-cap.

Definitely a steal for the price, but not identical to the Bells of Steel version.

When you add a 45 lb plate to the bar does the other side tilt over?

Yes, but it stays upright. Seems like a minor inconvenience.

It is wide enough for the sleeves to sit on j-cups or spotter arms, but you cannot load it from the rack.

I received mine today. The sleeves are a little over 9 inches long, I am worried I can't fit 3 of my 3" bumper plates on one side. Does have knurling underneath a coat of paint, nothing a little chalk can't fix. I have never seen these kind of sleeves on a barbell before, I don't see bearings/bushings of any sort, it looks like a bare bar going into a bare sleeve. The sleeves do rotate though, but has a slight grinding feeling to it. These are not complaints, I paid 100$ and am happy to try out some open barbell lifts. I can post pictures but do i link or post here?
