I wish there was an easy way to compare the seemingly infinite model range...

I'm wanting to get into 3D printing, but don't want to miss a major printer feature over $50.
Bambulab P1P, used Prusa MK3S+, or new Prusa MINI+ in that order.

Avoid Creality unless you want modding and fixing 3D printers to be your hobby instead of 3D printing.
I disagree with this statement. I'd buy something good, like Hatchbox for your first spool and use it to get your machine dialed in. If you start with some cheap, junky filament, you may be trying to solve problems caused by crappy filament, when your printer setup may be fine.

ninja edit: this was supposed to be a nonserious question, but now that I think about it...can it? I don't know too much about 3D printing tech, and if WH prices are anything like they were when I played 20 years ago, I could see this being a thing.
For play with your friends? Yes. For play at most stores or sanctioned events? No. Though I know a lot of minature people use resin printers but Im not as familiar with those.

Pshhh. If you got prusa money, get a Bambu Labs.

Prusa has a track record. I'm not plunking down a grand for a newcomer that uses proprietary parts. I've seen half a dozen such printers/companies fold, leaving their userbase in a lurch when it comes to replacement and maintenance parts.

Hard pass.

Okay prices, not earthbreaking.

I paid $171 for the Ender 3 NEO and $255 for the Ender 3 V2 NEO via Amazon over the past three weeks. Shipping was via Prime and fairly quick.

In all now, I have owned the Ender 3 Pro, Ender 3 NEO, Ender 3 V2 NEO, and the Ender CR-6 SE. Except for the CR-6 SE, the rest only have small differences. (Mainly in the addition of CR-Touch bed imperfection/temp measurer on the NEOs. )
why so many lol

Many people own more than one because they want to print more projects at once. I've given one of those away, thus have two active with a spare.

I ordered the S1 bundle with PEI surface and nozzles. Do the bundles items come separately? I've received the printer but nothing else.
PEI surface and nozzles ship separately.

I would return the Microcenter printer and get the S1 instead. You can still get plenty of good print with the basic Ender 3, but it will take quite a bit of try/error/upgrade/hair-pulling just to be there. So, just cough up the $254 that is already upgraded with all the belts, and whistles, and save yourself the headache and time.

If you do have the cash look into the Creality K1 just announced recently with Pre Order price of $600 or $580 with a cus20 code.

Use CUS20 for an extra $20 off.

I was planning for months whether to buy/build a DIY Voron 0.2 ($550) for faster printing. But never would have thought Creality just drop the bomb on K1 at $600 pre-order prices. This basically destroys the DIY Voron and Bambu lab pricing at the current prices vs build plate volume. End up biting the bullet and just brought one as well. Finger-cross and hope Creality didn't skim out too many crucial parts that made CoreXY what it is.

3D build volume
Creality K1 (220*220*250mm) $600 pre-order
Bambu p1p (256 × 256 × 256 mm³) $700 plus shipping and tax = close to $800
QIDI X Smart 3 (180*180*170mm) $479 First launch discount price ends on May 30th
DIY Voron 0.2 (120x120x120mm) $500-550 if you add tax and a Raspberry Pi/other Pi and require to 3D print your own structure part.

The only other 3d printer CoreXY that disrupts the current market would be the QIDI X Smart 3, it just came with a smaller 3d print build volume for $479. https://qidi3d.com/products/qidi-x-smart-3

Thanks for the deal. I have been playing around with this and it's pretty nice. I used to have the old ender 3 pro and this is really a step up.

I would get the Creality K1 (Bambu Clone) just announced (pre-order $580 with code CUS20) instead if you are already planning/willing to pay $380+tax = ~$425 Plus, need Klipper/Sonic pad ($150) to fully take advantage of CoreXY and if you add an enclosed for printing ABS in ender 5 s1 which is another plus cost. The K1 made the Ender 5 S1 pretty much obsolete in cosmetics and functions if you really compare them side by side.

Also, look into Qidi Tech X-Smart 3 for $480 if you don't mind with a smaller build volume.
