HP - LaserJet Pro M283fdw Wireless Color All-In-One Laser Printer - White
Yes it duplexes. I think these are on clearance. The link leads to the model cdw, but they are the exact same printer.
Added info: They have 8 of them at the Melrose Park Illinois store for $249.97.
I can't speak to this specific model. I have a M277DW that is the predecessor to this model purchased in 2016 that is till cranking right along. I've only ever replaced the toner and have had maybe 1 or 2 paper jams total in that time as well.
You mean the automatic document feeder? It does have the auto feeder.
I have only ever bought black and white laser printers in the last 20 years. When I looked in Amazon, the genuine HP toner for this printer is anywhere between $330 for low yield (1,250 color pages; 1,350 black) and $400 to $500 for high yield (2,450 color, 3,150 black.)
FYI. Not sure if generics would work.

Which store location? I was at my local Costco this morning and saw this printer at regular price.
I was in the Northriverside illinois store location. Right outside of Chicago. Be careful; they have 2 models sitting right next to each other...the M283fdw and the M283cdw. They are the EXACT same printer, but the M283cdw is not the one on sale!
I've been looking for a relatable laser printer for awhile I buy a new inkjet one every 4 years. Such a waste of money. Anyone know if this thing will actually last me

Have this printer and such a nice one. Only issue I see with this printer model is it cant scan multiple papers at once as it does not have the top feeder. Instead we need to scan one by one. If its for printing, no need to look back as color and monochrome prints both come out pretty fast and good.
Tempting... I have a mono laser and old color inkjet. Wondering if I want to consolidate. Also, I sometimes have issues printing from a chromebook to the wireless inkjet. Looks like a toner lasts for 3000 pages. I don't print a lot, so seems like this would last me for years.

Trying to understand this. I saw a review that it doesnt scan duplex, but it seems like it would scan front of multiple pages, no?
also wondering about generics. Amazon has toners with chip, I hope those would work.
Picked up two, hopefully this is the last printer I will be purchasing for a long time to come. My inkjet has had poor print quality since probably year two of owning it. WIth my print volume I am optimistic toner replacements will go more than a year between purchases and without the fear of the any ink drying out.
Rep for post. Please add BM YMMV to title. BM (Brick & Mortar) means in local stores (not online). YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) means some stores may not offer this product or price. Thank you.
