Generally, think of these in terms of $/watt. This is $0.69/watt which is not the cheapest, but it's pretty decent for a small number of panels with free shipping and returns.

You can buy pallets of solar panels at good prices, but it's hard to find smaller quantities at low prices with free shipping. Here's two places where I've tracked the cost of panels: https://unboundsolar.com/shop/solar-panels
https://www.altestore.com/store/s...price_watt

As you can see, the low end of pricing is about $0.66/watt and many are out of stock. There's a huge range of sizes and voltages. If you just want something small and more portable, then these "12 volt" panels are pretty good. If you're looking for something on a stand or rooftop, the larger panels are better.

What do you plan to connect these to? If you've got one of those portable solar generators (or even non-portable), then you need to match the panel voltage to the input voltage spec on your solar generator (e.g., Bluetti, GoalZero (what I have), etc.)
So cheaper then the cheapest price it's ever been isn't a "slick" deal? I think you're being too picky...
This is lower than that price. This is $69. The lowest 3C price is $72.

Not much of a sale on this one
As someone who knows nothing about solar panels - why is it not? It's cheaper than the last FP deal so I figured that meant it was a good deal?

How would this compare to something you would find at one of those whole saler solar places where you can find 150-200w solar panels for 50-70$ a piece?

yes, but it's not well under that low. i'm not saying it's a bad deal, just not very slick. the 30 day free returns option is a plus and a must.

Also, note that the coupon is only good for one panel. After that you pay $79/panel which isn't a great price, but also not terrible.

An interesting thing about Amazon coupons is that sometimes they re-up the eligibility the next day or randomly over time. So if you need more than one, you could take the chance that you can get the coupon again later.

Question regarding your last point, panels not matching up with input voltage. Isn't that what a charge controller is for? If you've got say a 30v panel but the input is 12 or 24v shouldn't the controller do the adjustments?

I don't know much about this stuff so I'm genuinely curious. Thanks in advance!

Do you have a batter backup like a Goalzerom, Jackery, or Bluetti? This would charge up those. Also charge your car batteries for off grid camping assuming you have a controller for it. This is not to pull your house off the grid.

Whole kit is 12% off. Might be a better deal if you need everything. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09RZJS...c_2_i?th=1

Tbh, I think he is wrong about that point. Pretty much all of those solar generators have an mppt controller which will convert the voltage to whatever you need. And they usually want a high voltage.

Think I'm going to grab one of these. My current camping setup is 3 newpowa 100w 17v 5.55amp panels. I smashed one last time I camped and they don't make that model anymore. This would only be one volt off and is super cheap. What do you guys think? I tried to find matching ones before and couldn't. I think this setup would be a max of 288.6 watts since my two other panels would have their amps lowered a little, which isn't too bad.
