I am aware it is 2k camera. At their max non-interpolated resolution, you get 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratios. At these ratios, you also record useless sky or car hood. The 4k resolution offers ultra wide ratio. It can see better both sides of your car.

You need fast sdcard (v3 rating) to support 4k recording.

By the way, I have been using non-endurance card without problems for years. Just make sure it's brand name (Samsung, Sandisk) and legit.
The answer: Samsung PRO Endurance.

More durable, higher capacity microSD card enables up to 16 years of continuous recording and playback
"Read and write speeds of up to 100 megabytes per second (MB/s) and 40 MB/s,3 respectively, and is rated Class 10 with video speed ratings of up to U3 (UHS Speed Class 3) and V30 (Video Speed Class 30).4 This makes it ideal for handling large, high-resolution files while enabling seamless recording and playback in Full HD and 4K."

I agree. I'm ready to replace my warranty-replaced Aukey DR02d (no longer recommended after being booted from Amazon) with a Viofo 4K A29 Pro Duo I got on a very good deal last year.

My cars have been rear-ended 4 times in my life; the last time it totaled the car. I've never had a front-end collision. Although I've captured an accident and provided footage to the victim once. The combination of the front and rear videos proved that the offender did not even slow down when approaching the red light she blasted through.
Right on. Dual cam is a must and so is a GPS logger. The GPS logger can be used in court to prove you were going the speed limit and/or driving safely during a traffic stop or accident. At least this one has the logger. Would bite if it was a slightly more expensive model with front and rear cams..

Agreed with the logger. It also records your speed. So, if any not-quite-honest County Mountie decides to lie about you speeding, you'll have the data that proves otherwise.

A dashcam continually records. Old recordings are replaced constantly. The card gets overwritten thousands of times. In a phone, it's static storage. An endurance card is meant for security systems and can take that abuse. Standard cards cannot. They will quickly wear out and die.
I don't think you know how much abuse my phone is been.

Get the $15 filter and don't look back.

Also I disable the gps speed imprint on mine because it would only hurt me with the speed that I drive.....

Yes, two cameras (one front, one rear). Because the rear one obviously records footage in the event your car is hit from the rear.
Key for all the sketchy drivers out there. I've read of many instances where the rear offender will claim you backed up into them even though there's no conceivable reason you'd be backing up in that situation.

I personally have the older A119 V2 installed up front, and a cheaper Bluesky B1W for the rear. If you're lucky, many modern cars have a rear 9V socket, so it's easy to power separately. To me, it doesn't matter that they're 2 separate cams, the B1W form factor is a better choice for me.
