    Honestly I love these deals. 2 Pop-its for $3 and 2 Roblox stuffers for $4 are great this time of year to give out as end of year treasure box gifts for elementary school kids. I can stock up on things kids actually will enjoy for way cheaper than Walmart or Target!

    Their free shipping threshold has steadily marched upward for a number of years now. It used to be as low as $25 to match Amazon, then went to $35, then $49 then $59 and now $79.

    I buy from GameStop on rare occasion and because of the shipping hikes, I basically limit myself to the really good deals I can pick up in-store: I think the last one I got was Scarlet Nexus for $10 when it was only about a month old. If I want something new I can get free shipping from about any other seller or I can just buy it at Walmart/BB/Target while I'm there. The whole experience has just continued to get worse with them.

    Just walk into a store. Great purchase.

    6lb kinetic sand + 5 years old kickstand scooter (free) = $30 ( while it would be $70-80 if purchased amazon)

    online inventory is a mess, not sure how it is possible to keep track when people just buy off items in store. The cashier was persuasive on the yearly membership, almost convinced but eventually passed.

    Worked at this garbage place for 6 years. We were encouraged (almost forced) to scam customers to reach our numbers for the week if not we were threatened we would lose hours or our job. The system is sh*t all the way around. Online, instore, basically just all around how they run everything it's such a joke. Wouldn't give them a dime knowing what goes on behind closed doors. If you shop in store, always, always check your receipt. Especially if you trade in games. I was denied a store manager position because I was "too nice" and it was given to the guy that had just been hired and caught stealing there. I just didn't want to screw over my customers and they couldnt stand it. F that place. I hope they crumble.

    Can gamestop just go away already?

    Love how they keep raising the minimum shipping threshold. Now you can't get a $70 game shipped free, have to buy something else or go to the store.

    It's also super annoying that if you want to use a power up reward on a cart that's above the shipping threshold and it brings your cart total to under the threshold, then you have to pay shipping of $8. So many shady practices.

    Reading briefly through financial news, it looks like Gamestop is not doing well, but not completely tanking either - however, noting that they are supposedly "deemphasizing online sales of games in favor of brick and mortar" and "deemphasizing game sales (did they read their own company's name?) in favor of collectibles" sounds like the typical slow, inevitable decline due to idiot corporate mismanagement awaits that has befallen so many others - figure about 4-8 years of increasing rumors of bankruptcy/closing with actual demise somewhere int he 8-10 year window. Though, reading some of the comments above, I also would not be surprised if it happens next week. Big Grin
