Unboxed mine today. Very obviously used, scuffed base and docking station, full dust bag, filthy mop area with hair and dirt and grime. Dust in the dust bin on the robot, water in the water bin on the robot.

Wouldn't have minded all of this, but they didn't ship me a critical component to use the mop, the water filter (a big plastic piece). The robot will not mop without this component.

Very poor QA for this refurb program. Contacted Roborock customer service and provided photos, not sure what resolution will be.

Nasty used? The last Roborock refurb that I got was brand-spanking new. Dreame is a decent robovac but not as good as V7Max.

Have a Roborock for less than a year. There's plastic under the wheel that broke. I'm guessing it was screwed in too tight. I contacted Roborock and they refused the warranty stating it's an accessory then directed me to aliexpress to order the part. Weird since they don't sell it on their website and don't state it ever needs replacing.

Earlier I mentioned that these are disgusting used unit that has e not been cleaned or inspected by Roborock. It cost more to inspect than manufacture one of these. ( I got complains about this Big Grin , I guess from those who paid by Roborock ) They are super cheap to make in China. If you still want to get a better deal on these over priced items I suggested to get the Dreametech l10s for $800 to $900 on overstock (depending on which promo code you get) which is shipped directly from importer. Also you may find good deals in ecovacs Omni if you are ok with no raising mop(costco in store $800) There is also a cheaper version comming with very weak obstacle avoidance system compared these three options.

I just got my white s7 plus. Way better than my i4+. Really not sure why wirecutter recommends that one with outdated technology. The LiDAR and mapping are amazing. It's also is more aesthetically pleasing. Mopping works well and It had a really smart sweeping algorithm. It's more expensive than my eufy and iRobot but I think it is justified and I will probably upgrade to an s8 max v ultra next year when there's a refurb deal.

Mine wasn't as used or dirty as some of comments. Empty clean dust bin and mop container or no weird smells or stains. Only place they missed was where the bag compartment meets the auto empty container. So definitely used but can't tell how used. Mine didn't have a history or run time shown in app. For refurbished pricing, way worth it. Don't be scared.

Agree the dustbin is small so you want the dock. I'll probably buy extra pads bags and cleaning solution on the site.

Just got my S7 Max Ultra and from the previous comments, I had to do a thorough inspection. For me the packaging was like brand spanking new. The parts didn't look used. The dusbags and container bins seemed new too. Checked the cleaning history on the app and it only showed 11mins of clean time. Not sure how accurate it is but seems like I got an almost like new roborock as refurbished.

What you are seeing is the new trend where Chinese factories are not just making things as specified by manufacturers and engineers around the world for other companies, but are actually going to market directly. They don't have the full know how, resources or just the same general approach to customer service and are still figuring it out. Or it's us figuring out the new direct with China factories customer relationship.

I'm waiting 2 days between replies to work through something. Leaning towards your path of returning and hoping they send a good one back.

Does anyone have suggestions for low cost, good replacement Q5+ dust bags? Some on amazon report bad seal that allows dust to escape when it's auto-emptying. Trying to avoid those.

Just received my s7 MaxV Ultra today. Mine arrived in a brown refund box and looked new upon first glance. A deeper look showed some marks on the front bumper and a dirty water filter in the dock. But everything else was clean - the dust bin, brush, and mop looked new, and the bins on the dock looked brand new as well. The app showed 225 mins of use.

Currently charging it up in preparation for it's first run.

The most they offered to compensate was 50$. I requested a replacement; hoping they send the replacement from a less shitty population and I don't end up with something worse.

Pretty terrible customer service and doesn't seem to be a better escalation path besides a EU email and the Ebay application.

Looking to your update when you get your replacement.

This is the least "refurbished" refurb I've ever bought wtf??? Just shy of $1000, absolutely filthy out of the box.

Scratches, dents, dirt, hair, farking covered in mold.

They threw a new mop pad on this and called it a day. Outrageous.

Edit: Hooked it up to check runtime. 33 hours... Maybe because I ordered when stock was low they only had shitty units left.

How does the 2 year warranty works on these ? i am still in 30 day return period and having issues with chagring. So far my contact with them has been via ebay. should i register the unit in Roborack site for them to honour the warraty? i dont see any instructions sent with the box/unit. .

I talked about this at the beginning of the deal. Just return it and get a Dreame l10s new from overstock for 900$(10% promo code) . It is more quiet, better mop, auto detergent adding and better on carpet . It is an overall better option for cheaper price with same navigation system.
