Appears to be an all-time low price after coupon. This is a hard to find 240 Volt inverter generator with a large 301 cc engine comparable to the Wen GB685i which sells for $685.
Well pump, water heater, range capable. No frills Gasoline only pull start increases reliability. IME the 301 cc engine starts easily with one or two light tugs. Less effort than lifting the fuel can.

I felt it was easy to start, but thats me saying that as a 30 year old 6'2 male. I would buy it again for sure, I really appreciated Champions Youtube video on how to float the neutral, that made it really easy for me and they also sent me a free T shirt in the mail for writing a review.
I cant speak on the fuel consumption as we've not had a single power outage these past 10 months ive had it. So I just exercise it every so often with a few space heaters. I paid a good deal more than $500, so for $500 I think its a great deal. And its honestly not all that loud, for an open frame generator, certainly more on the quiet side for an open frame. But it will get loud if you load it down with 4600 watts lol
a few particular appliances at the same time. (like an electric oven or electric dryer - gas units are OK to run)
It's one of the smallest inverter generators on PG&E's free power transfer switch [pge.com] list if your home qualifies in California.
This free switch program includes installation by PG&E, and is valued at well over $1000.

For under $50 Amazon has all-in-one replacement dual and tri-fuel carburetors with a built in demand regulator for 300 cc engines.

Value: This is a powerful inverter generator with a large 301 cc engine and THD is less than <3%.
Compare to the wgen5300dfv conventional which is often highly recommended for 240V back-up. 274 cc engine, 27% THD $550
Outlet: Both have the L14-30R 30 amp twist lock outlet which makes this transfer switch ready. This is found on a few 3800-4000 watt conventionals however 5k watt is the minimum for most water heaters well pumps and cooking appliances. There are not many options in this medium power range. Fully enclosed inverter generators in the $600-$800 range are light duty 120 V only with sub 200 cc engines.
