Octane line is done....was a pretty solid product.

I wonder if all tools benefit from using "octane" or "max" batteries.
I've been trying to figure out the same thing. My impact driver does not have the extra contacts but ridgid recommends max output batteries. Not sure if buying max output benefits me or them.
To me it seems like tools that are designed for the max output battery probably last longer using them vs standard. However does my light cannon or battery powered lights benefit any? The internet hasn't been a big help there.
Yeah that makes sense and hopefully is the case. It's just strange that they all use the same 18650 cells except for the 3ah octane and the 6ah.
The power is maybe a little more but the runtime is a lot longer.
