Definitely worth it after hacking it to use the peloton app. A better platform for half the cost on subscription

I mounted a 24in TV with a roku stick on my bike and kept the tablet underneath it after I unlocked it. Installed a fan, a surge protector and gave it a seat upgrade as well as changed over to SPD pedals.

With the qdomyos app, yes you can use auto-resistance (for a variety of bikes) that support it for both Peloton and Zwift. This model (Echelon sport) does not support auto resistance, but it DOES work on the next model up (Echelon EX-3) which I have and the EX-4,5,etc models as well. There are other bikes out there that can be hacked to work, but I think the consensus is that the Echelon's are the simplest to use and have generally good build quality for the price.

i went straight to peloton last year but i just want to comment on exercise for anyone on the fence

you will not regret an investment in your health! i am down so much weight doing 30mins/day 7 days a week since black friday! im never going back!

not everyone can do that much but just wanted to give more credit to peloton/any bike if you put your mind to it you will be rewarded in more ways than one.

for those on the fence - do it!

price increases next year on the apps??? i'd pay double.

I received it and the box had tears and seemed like someone just taped it up heavily. Then when I opened the box, it seemed there was tape within as well. Anyone else experience this? Not sure if this is actually new.

I got this first before re-selling it. I am a cycling instructor and during the height of covid, I was looking for a bike to do my exercises but even at the max level of this, it's not that heavy enough to simulate a climb
