This is so weird. I see $799 after logging on the product page, but when I add to cart, it goes to $999.

Samsung support was useless. Will try again via calling customer support.
I had that issue last night, it started working after 10ish cst. after refreshing there were 10 in my cart. I then had to keep deleting them over and over, after getting to 1 in cart itfinally added extra discounts (50 dollar bundle discount, 190 military discount and 25 app discount) and I came out 739 plus tax at midnight so it worked out for me. I think their system is just buggy, not sure if its inventory dependant or anything when it applies EPP discounts. If you haven't used the samsung shop app load that to get an extra 25 off first purchase.

I get the Workplace discount for all the other monitors except for this one. Spent about 2 hours talking with Samsung and it almost killed me from frustration. Samsung customer support may have caused me never to buy a monitor from them, lol.

Exactly. Thats why you need to go with bestbuy and just buy their geeksquad. Dont even dream you can swing any warranty claims through Samsung

ha, if the discount actually worked, I could have gotten this for $740 + taxes with all the discounts. Seems like hell of a deal compared to $1000 at Best Buy.

Definitely recommend a warranty with burn-in protection. Had an AW3423DW suffer from burn in within a month from playing WoW with HDR (Static elements). I didn't realize it at first, but when I moved content over the screen sections it was very apparent. Wasn't noticeable in-game but certainly was on the desktop with grey backgrounds. That was just a quick one-month subscription, I couldn't imagine 3 years of it.

The good thing with the Alienware is that it comes with 3 years of burn-in protection, so I feel safe blasting this thing at full HDR and enjoying it until the last 3 months, then I'll file a warranty claim for burn in as I'm sure it'll happen again with another game with static elements in HDR by then, and then re-sell it or something. With Samsung, it's a year, and may/may not cover burn in, so definitely be aware of that.

The Samsung does NOT cover burn-in. If I were you, I'd file a warranty claim sooner than 3 months before the warranty ends, though. The warranty replacement after 60 days from purchase is a refurbished monitor, and there are plenty of horror stories on Reddit from customers that had to go through 4-5 refurbished replacements before they got a good one.

Are you talking about Samsung or Alienware? My Alienware replacement (which was about a year after original purchase) was a brand new unit, and I checked the service menu and it had about 4 hours of total use (likely for factory testing/calibration). I asked about the remaining warranty and they said it was for the rest of the full term of the purchase (so about April 2025).

Alienware. It's in the warranty terms. You can read them on their site or the pamphlet that came with it. I assume the timer gets reset when Dell refurbishes them. The refurbished unit I bought from the Dell Outlet site had 4 hours as well. Why did you have to get yours RMA'd, if you don't mind me asking? Burn-in, I assume?

You need the employee discount to make it the sale price.
