Q&A for this product indicates that it does not provide the ability to receive updates.
I hate those bluetooth ODBII adapters. The Torq lite app is fine, but I always have trouble connecting to bluetooth.

There's something to be said for a simple device that just does what it says. Especially when I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with the car.

Having a bluetooth connected dongle could be nice if you want to see engine stats in real-time. Which is neat, but I don't really need.
Shill post for sure

Torque Lite app and a $10 Bluetooth obd2 dongle is all you need. That said, shill or not, this is a good deal if you want to keep it simple and not use your phone.

I think that's just the Pro version. I use Torque Lite for code scans and resets. Pretty sure that is still free.

Anyone have a code reader that does SoC (state of charge, ie electric/hybrid battery diagnostic)?

Plus no one ever talks about the delay. If u have ever tried to get telemetry data real time from a BT obd2 dongle its got a ton of latency so you can't really depend on any real time data for actual driving maybe at idle or something but this won't ever replace an actual Guage.

This is what I came to say. Bluetooth connection is great when it works, annoying and frustrating when it doesn't.

Benefits of this one posted is you don't need a separate device at all. Just plug in and it (should) work. I don't know if this product is good, but I'm tempted to get it and just leave it with the spare tire or glovebox and never have to worry when the eventual check engine light comes on.

Edit: I checked my order history and already own one of these from a different manufacturer lol. Paid $17.50 for it after coupon/sale. I guess I bought it and did just like I said, leave it with the spare or glovebox, and forgot about it.
